Clark Masts PU series aluminium alloy telescopic portable masts are extended by pulling out sections by hand. PU sections are locked in the extended position by a "never-fail" simple cross-pin. Retraction is accomplished by removing the cross-pin. The operator is safeguarded by an air cushion device fitted to each telescoping section. PU masts have been tested in the "test house" of world-wide pan-climatic service for over 30 years. Standard PU portable mast kits include all the items required to set up the mast in the field, using guys and pickets. However an important part of the Clark Masts PU portable mast programme are the accessories available for mounting them on vehicles or shelters. These accessories range from simple brackets to attachments which adjust for ground slope and facilitate rapid removal. Most armed services throughout the world have Clark Masts PU portable masts in service, including Australia's Department of Defence though their project Raven. All PU portable masts and accessories are NATO codified. PDF Brochure on PU Series Portable Masts. |
