All WT series air-operated portable masts are members of Clark Masts' heavy duty Phase 2 Series

Clark Masts WT Series Portable Mast stowed on roof trolleyThere are many applications where a Clark Masts PT or YT series telescopic portable mast does not have the lifting capacity or the extended height desired. Clark Masts WT series portable masts, also part of Clark's Phase 2 series, have greater strength and can reach greater heights by virtue of their 152.4 mm (6 inch) diameter base tube.

With a maximum extended height of 30 metres most Clark Masts WT series portable telescopic masts have to be transported in the horizontal position. One option for doing this is the use of one of Clark Masts optional Roof Trolleys, as shown at left. Clark Masts have developed over many years, these accessories which enable the mast to be carried horizontally on the vehicle roof and swung into a vertical position when required to operate. All have been made to enable the equipment to be handled by one man in safety, not withstanding the heavy construction.

Often used unguyed up to 20 metres, guying adds stability in windy conditions to any of the WT series portable masts. Guying collars, which allow the mast to still be rotated, are now a standard factory fitting for guying at 90 or 120 degrees (3 or 4 way guying). A Guy Winch , operated by one man and which tensions all guys simultaneously, is available and recommended for extension above 20 metres in windy conditions.

The WT series of portable masts incorporates all of the design features of Clark Masts PT and YT portable masts. Similarly there is a full range of general Accessories as well as Installation Accessories to allow these portable masts to be installed on a shelter, a vehicle or field mounted through use of a stand-alone tripod assembly. All WT series portable masts are supplied with guy rings and mounting hardware for turning or non-turning applications. A range of Air Supply options is also available, including Hand Pumps, 12/24 Volts DC and 230/110 Volt AC Air Source/Mast Compressors, Petrol powered compressors and accessories to allow a vehicle's air source to be used.

Where a poratble mast, ready to use without installation, is required, Clark Masts offer WT masts carried on purpose built trailers, the 802 Trailer Mast Series.
