XT SERIES - THE MOST POWERFUL AIR-OPERATED CLARK MAST PORTABLE MASTS AVAILABLE - UP TO 150 Kg HEADLOADS, USING 203 MM (8") BASE TUBES | |
The XT Series are Clark Masts "HIGH POWER" extra heavy duty telescopic portable masts with the capability of lifting 150 kilograms (special versions to 300 Kg can be supplied) to 10 metres or 36 kg to 18 metres (special versions to 30 metres & 50 Kg headload capability can be supplied).
As a member of Clark Masts Phase 2 series, ClarkMasts XT portable mast series also have the un-guyed rigidity which has become increasingly necessary for today's equipment, particularly when microwave dish antennas are used. Electronic News Gathering, Line of Sight Links, small Radars, surveillance equipment of all kinds, portable phone cells, these are the applications in which Clark Masts XT series portable masts perform best.
The XT portable mast's 203 mm (8 inch) base section diameter makes the mast too large to set up manually. In almost all cases they are built into or onto vehicles or shelters in the vertical position. The top of each XT portable mast is provided with a substantial flange for the attachment of large headloads. Each mast section may be optionally factory fitted with locking (combined) collars for semi-permanent erection if desired, allowing the mast to remain extended without an air supply for long periods of time. For minimum retracted height the Plain (non-locking) Collar version may be ordered.
When the Clark Masts XT portable mast is fully extended a locking key system gives high torsional strength. To increase the stability of headloads with large wind area in high wind conditions, Guys may be attached to the standard factory fitted Guy Collars. However the real advantage of the XT masts is their unguyed stability for work in average wind conditions. All Clark Masts XT series portable masts are supplied mounting hardware for either turning or non-turning applications.
A range of mounting and guying Accessories are available for the Clark Masts XT Series portable mast. Also a number of Air Supply options are available, including Hand Pumps, 12/24 Volt DC and 230/110 Volt AC Air Source/Mast Controllers, Petrol powered compressors and accessories to allow a vehicle's air source to be used.
All of these qualities give the Clark Masts XT extra heavy duty portable mast series equal suitability for use in civilian and military applications, as evidenced by its choice for the advanced Verdi-2 Military Reconnaissance vehicle shown below.
For applications where an extra heavy duty mast and very rapid deployment is required, Clark
Masts 804 Heavy Duty Trailer Mast Series offer XT portable masts trailer mounted ready for fast turn
around operations.
