The advantages of using low pressure air to extend a telescopic portable mast are well known. Clark Masts Phase 2 portable masts have all of these advantages including simplicity of construction minimising maintenance, smooth operation up and down, are simple to install, have low roof protrusion when vehicle mounted, are intrinsically safe, and are torsionally extra stiff when fully extended. PHASE 2 PORTABLE MAST SPECIFICATIONS

Telescoping sections:
High strength Corrosion-resistant Aluminium Alloy.

Surface Finish:
Anodised natural colour or dyed.

General Finish:
Standard paint colour - white or NATO green. Other colours, including
desert sand, to order.

Maximum Operating Air Pressure:
1.7 bar (25 psi or 1.8 Kg/cm sq.).

Operating Temperature:
+55 degrees to -40 degrees C (dry).

Storage Temperature:
+65 degrees to -55 degrees C (dry).

Icing Risk:
Similar to any other mechanical device in conditions of temperature
change between +3 and -5 degrees C. Without precautions 5%. With
precautions <1%.

Air Leakage:
Expected pressure drop: Zero to 0.4 bar (0 to 6 psi).

Environmental Conditions:
Clark Masts portable masts have been tested extensively in nature's test house for
Tropical Life, Salt Atmosphere, Dry Heat, Damp Heat, Driving Rain,
Shock, Vibration as well as High and Low Temperatures. Further
more, by following simple procedure there are no limitations for
transport in un-pressurised aircraft.
