Cobham Mastsystem EXA141 Series of lightweight telescopic portable masts are designed to meet the most demanding requirements of mobile communication systems, yet still fill the expectations of an economical budget. Cobham Mastsystem EXA141 Series masts are also applicable to such areas as defence, the police, geodetic surveying, radio and TV broadcasting, emergency communication operations and portable emergency lighting. All Cobham Mastsystem EX141/EXA141/EXL141 portable masts use a carbon fibre composite base tube of 141 mm diameter, which combines excellent strength with light weight.
Every Cobham Mastsystem EXA141 Series portable mast and guy assembly detail are designed to resist external forces and to ensure quick and safe operation. Cobham Mastsystem EXA141 Series portable masts perform excellently in both arctic and tropical areas as well as desert environments. EXA141 Series are "hand-crank" erecting types, but can also be optionally extended electrically. Mounting kits for vehicles and shelters, as well as a variety of other ancillary equipment are also available.
All Cobham Mastsystem EXA141 Series portable mast sections are manufactured from pulltruded carbon/glassfibre composite tubes with light metal and stainless steel fittings. EXA141 portable mast composite fibre tubes move inside each other on guide keyways that prevent the individual sections from turning and also keep the portable mast itself torsionally stiff. They are also rotatable through 360 degrees and can be locked in any position. Mechanical stops prevent the sections from being disengaged during extension. Cobham Mastsystem EXA141 Series mast sections are a standard green colour with black fittings. Other colours are available on request, such as desert sand.
Every 'Complete System' Cobham Mastsystem EXA141 Series portable mast is supplied with a robust reinforced transit bag containing a set of field deployment accessories which are designed to expedite mast set up and tear down time, even in the harshest environment. Cobham Mastsystem EXA141 Series user-friendly design of the guy rope reels and tensioners makes the task of tensioning the guys and plumbing the portable mast simple, rapid and straight forward, while the highly tempered ground pickets are suitable for repeated use in a wide variety of ground conditions including permafrost. All accessories needed for Cobham Mastsystem EXA141 Series mast operation are stored in separate bags

EX/EXA/EXL141 series of masts meet the environmental requirements
of MIL-STD 810. Mastsystem International Oy conform to the
Quality Standard ISO9001.
