Cobham Mast System EXL195 Series of lightweight telescopic portable masts are designed to meet the most demanding requirements of mobile/portable communication systems, yet still fill the expectations of an economical budget. Cobham Mast System EXL195 Series portable masts are also applicable to such areas as defence, the police, geodetic surveying, radio and TV broadcasting, emergency communication operations, portable cellular phone applications and temporary/portable emergency lighting where heavy lift requirements exist.

Every Cobham Mast System EXL195 Series portable mast and guy assembly detail are designed to resist external forces and to ensure quick and safe operation. Cobham Mast System EXL195 Series portable masts perform excellently in both arctic and tropical areas, as well as desert environments. Cobham Mast System EXL195 Series are "hand-crank" erecting portablemasts, but can also be optionally extended electrically. Mounting kits for vehicles and shelters, as well as a variety of other mounting situations are also available for the EXL195 portable mast series.

All Cobham Mast System EXL195 Series portable mast sections are manufactured from pulltruded carbon/glass fibre composite tubes with light metal and stainless steel fittings. Cobham Mast System EXL195 Series portable mast composite fibre tubes move inside each other on guide keyways which prevent the individual sections from turning and keep the mast headload stationary. Additionally the EXL series of portable masts are equipped with a latch/locking mechanism for control of section guying order during erection. Cobham Mast System EXL195 Series portable masts are also rotatable through 360 degrees and can be locked in any position. Mechanical stops prevent the sections from being disengaged during extension. Cobham Mast System EXL195 Series portable mast sections are finished in a standard green colour with black fittings. Other colours are available on request, such as desert sand.

Every Cobham Mast System EXL195 Series 'Complete System' portable mast is supplied with a robust reinforced transit bag containing a set of field deployment accessories which are designed to expedite portable mast set up and tear down time, even in the harshest environment. The user-friendly design of the Cobham Mast System EXL195 Series portable mast guy rope reels and tensioners makes the task of tensioning the guys and plumbing the mast simple and straight forward, while the highly tempered ground pickets are suitable for repeated use in a wide variety of ground conditions including permafrost. All accessories needed for Cobham Mast System EXL195 Series portable mast operation are stored in separate bags
