Cobham Mastsystem portable masts can be supplied with standard Extended Heights from 4 to 34 Metres, and are capable of carrying Headloads from 5 to 70 Kilograms with wind survival speeds of 35 metres per second. All Cobham Mast Systems portable masts have been designed for rapid deployment by unskilled personnel, deployment times varying from 3 to 30 minutes depending on the portable mast type. Cobham Mast Systems telescopic portable masts are made of state-of-the-art pulltruded carbon fibre composite tube sections with corrosion resistant hardware designed to meet the most demanding requirements of industrial and military mobile/portable communication systems. Each portable mast section has full length, external keys to maintain directional accuracy. All Cobham Mast Systems portable masts can be rotated through 360 degrees and locked in position from the base. Mechanical stops prevent each portable mast section from overextending.

COBHAM Mastsystem telescopic portable  masts are complete stand alone guyed portable mast systems which can also be vehicle or shelter mounted. Manpackable Cobham Mastsystem portable masts are also available in the TM portable masts series and are ideally suited to covert Electronic Warfare applications. Each Cobham Mastsystem portable mast is supplied with carefully designed accessories to ensure quick and safe mast erection. Cobham Mastsystem portable masts have been well proven in arctic and tropical climates as well as in desert environments. With over 60 different standard and custom portable masts available, there is a Cobham Mastsystem lightweight telescopic mast for just about every portable mast application. Alternatively, where required, Cobham Mastsystem can design and manufacture, providing rapid turnaround, custom portable masts to your specifications. Cyclone-Typhoon-Hurricane rated Cobham Mastsystem portable masts to 60 m/s wind speed can also be custom produced.
